UCO Engineering was awarded a tender for the first phase of the sanitation project in Block 441 in Al-Sahla.

The Ministry's Undersecretary for Works Affairs at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities and Urban Planning, Engineer Ahmed Abdulaziz Al-Khayyat stated that a tender for the sanitation project in Block 441 in Al-Sahla has been awarded by the Tender and Bidding Council, to the contractor UCO Engineering for a value of 364,143 dinars. This project will commence during May.

The Undersecretary for Labour Affairs stated that the project falls within the Ministry of Works’ agenda to improve sanitation services in the northern governorate, in line with its strategic vision aimed at providing the best infrastructure services to citizens, a safe and healthy environment and using the best sanitation services for us.

M. Al-Khayyat pointed out that the total area of Block 441 in Al-Sahla is estimated at 84.04 hectares, of which 28.79 hectares have been connected to a sewage network in the past years, and the sewage network for this project will cover about 6.2 hectares, and there are about 10.5 hectares, a network will be established for it once the occupancy rate rise and construction in it to 70%, while other areas in the complex are undeveloped areas.

The Undersecretary for Works Affairs added that the project includes the construction of 1457 meters of main lines and 592 meters of subsidiary lines, in addition to 149 inspection rooms and the connection of 98 houses to the sewage network, to provide residents of Block 441 in the Sahla area with sanitation services.
